Think of Pet Therapy Notes like a journal of sorts, the scribbled notes capturing the moments of life with your pet.
The lessons are real and not always wrapped in a pretty bow. I want to hear it all — the good, the hard, the pain, the grief, the laughs, the comfort, the joy, the heartbreak, the love, the regrets, caregiver fatigue, behavioral euthanasia, re-homing a pet, and everything in between.
I believe that although we experience our own unique relationship, we can find solace, belonging, and relatability in bearing witness to the nuances of each other’s experiences. We may even have that “ah-ha” moment where we see ourselves reflected in another’s words.
Most importantly, writing is an act of healing, and a tribute to your pet, and in my experience can be quite cathartic.
Please join me on this journey! I am seeking essays and would love to have you. No submission will be denied.
